A small dog, some silver, and a sense of something older
Tucked away in a small workshop in rural Shropshire, I make jewellery mostly in silver, always by hand, with the quiet company of tools well-used and Small Dog supervising from the comfort of the house.
There are no sketches, no fixed designs. Just a shape that wants making, or a story that lingers. A curl of ivy. A half-heard myth. The worn edge of something ancient.
I work with recycled precious metals wherever I can, and stones chosen slowly, for their colour, their quiet character, the way they catch the light like water or fire. Nothing too perfect. I like gems with history in them. A bit of mossiness round the edges.
Folklore and the natural world sit at the heart of it all. These pieces aren’t about decoration. They’re made to feel found, like something unearthed or passed down. A small, solid echo of something you can’t quite name.
