Huldra's Loop

They say the Huldra walks the deep woods.

Not in the open, not where the bracken’s been trampled down by boot or hoof, but further in, where the light has to try a little harder to get through.

She’s not quite of our world. One shoulder like a woman, the other like tree-bark. Hollow-backed, if you catch her at the wrong angle. Some say beautiful beyond sense, others say she smells of mushrooms and moss and things left too long in the damp.

Either way, you don’t follow her voice.

But sometimes, if you’re kind to the forest, or foolish enough to ask for help, she leaves you something. A token, or a warning. Hard to tell the difference, really.

This pendant is shaped like one of those gifts. A silver loop, weathered and twisting like a root or old horn. And set into it, a chrome diopside stone - the kind of green that belongs to things that grow in shadow.

This may never be repeated, and if it was - no two loops would ever be the same. Just like the Huldra. Just like what you carry home from the woods.

Wear it when the path isn’t clear, but you trust your feet to find it.
