In Celtic folklore, Selkies were shapeshifters caught between two worlds, human and seal, forever bound by the pull of the ocean.
Legends tell of the sorrow of choosing between love on land and the call of the sea. Each aquamarine bead reflects the crystalline depths of their underwater realm, while the necklace itself becomes a talisman for those who understand the bittersweet nature of transformation and longing.
Aquamarines have also been referred to as mermaids tears - a nod to their ocean like colours.
This piece comes with an 18” chain as standard but If you'd rather your pendant sat a little higher or lower, closer to the throat or the heart, I can swap the chain to suit - please make your selection via the options box.
