A one-of-a-kind pendant, sculpted by flame and guided more by instinct than plan. The shape calls to mind a talon, a weathered fragment of bone, or perhaps the curved beak of some long-vanished bird. But nothing exact. Like all good relics, it resists being neatly named.
The hollow at its centre isn’t just a gap, it’s a pause. A place where something once was, or where something might still settle. Light passes through, quiet and deliberate.
This piece is named Skarn, after a type of stone born through fire and collision, where molten rock meets sediment, and something new is formed in the heat. It felt right for a pendant shaped by torch and tension. Rough-edged, elemental, and a little uncanny.
There’s a quiet power in this one. It doesn’t shine to catch the eye. It waits to be noticed. Worn close, it becomes a kind of talisman, for resilience, perhaps, or for remembering what came before.
Cast in recycled sterling silver and finished entirely by hand. Suspended on a simple chain, because it needs nothing else.
